According to a survey by AVG technologies, the Baby Boomer population needs to be shown how to deal with advanced technology and the risks it poses. Computers, smart phones and tablets are all high risk areas for this population of adults because they are not adequately protecting themselves when doing so. This online safety deficiency is what puts them at a greater risk to be targeted.

We encourage a number of things to help keep your information safe such as: changing passwords frequently, backing up computer data with external storage and being aware of common phishing scams. Password protecting all your mobile devices, as well as being careful about online purchases is important. It’s essential that this segment of the population be aware of the dangers that arise from using digital devices.
